Artisan Coca-Cola Upcycled bloc-notes de Mitz

Artisan Coca-Cola Upcycled bloc-notes de Mitz

- A brilliant gift for just about anyone, this unique and eco-friendly notebook made from up-cycled Coca-Cola cans is perfect for keeping organized.
- Created by Mitz, (a Nahuatl word that means 'For you,') a women's cooperative located in Palo Solo, a small community of 5,000 embedded on a hillside in the municipality of Huixquilucan, characterised by high levels of poverty and marginalisation. Formed seven years ago, it's already put 2,500 boys and girls from the community through school on scholarships financed by the income obtained from recycling over 40 tons of waste. Plus the income generated from sales of their woven bags has enabled the 50 women of the cooperative and their families to become economically self-sufficient and allows them to run the Children's House of Palo Solo, a school built over 20 years ago on top of what used to be a garbage dump.
- Comes complete with a magnetic strap closure.
- Dimensions: 20 cm x 16.5 cm
- Fair trade
- Please Note: These bags and covers are individually handmade utilizing beverage bottle labels, and may therefore vary in style and colour.
- Created as part of Coca-Cola's 5by20 initiative which is working to empower 5 million women entrepreneurs across the company's global value chain by the year 2020, to provide the tools and skills needed to act on those dreams
- Handmade in Mexico
